Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: Yes! We are in network with: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Emblem, GHI, HIP, The Empire Plan (NYSHIP), Medicare, Oxford Freedom Plan, United Healthcare. However, not all insurances will cover nutrition sessions for your specific condition. If we decide to work together, there will be out-of-pocket expenses, even if your insurance is accepted. 

 

Q: Do you have evening and weekend hours?

A: Yes. Office hours for initial appointments are generally available from 3 pm – 8 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 9 am – 3 pm on selected Saturdays. If you decide to work with me, we will stay in close communication through a HIPAA private web portal as well as office/video/phone visits.

 

Q: What conditions and diseases do you help people with?

A: I help people who have:

  • All digestive conditions, such as acid reflux, heartburn, excessive gas and burping, stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, IBS, Crohn’s disease, colitis, celiac disease
  • Inflammatory conditions such as autoimmune diseases, muscle and joint pain, fibromyalgia, and skin issues

 

Q: Do you help people lose weight?

A: If your main concern is weight loss, I am not the right practitioner for you. Because I help people greatly decrease inflammation in their body, loss of excess weight may be a side effect.

 

Q: Do you recommend supplements?

A: Sometimes. My approach is “food first”. Heck, it’s possible some of your supplements are contributing to your problems! If needed, I will make recommendations for specific supplements. I can also help you choose safe brands of supplements.

 

Q: Where is your office?

A: On 25A right near Northport village on Long Island. But thanks to video conferences and phone calls, we can conduct appointments from anywhere.
